Subject: oil pressure IP: Logged
Message: smell like gas is leaking in the the oil. just had some enigne work done on it .notice the oil pressure drop. change oil week later oil pressure drop and oil light will come on. check oil dipstick and it smell like gas.

Message: You need to be more specific. What kind of work did you have done? Did they take the intake manifold off?
In the old days, the diaphram could rupture in the fuel pump and pour gas into the engine, but since our trucks are fuel injected, that would be vertually impossible.

When you're perfect you can start correcting others, until then keep that hole under your nose shut because we can't take the stench.

First, if your engine oil is wetted out with gas, change it and the filter immediately. A possible cause could be an intermittent single cylinder misfire so you might want to do plugs, high tension wires, cap & rotor while you're at it. It's also possible you're sucking gas into the crankcase through the evaporative emissions system so check that out too.
