Does anyone know why a thermostate would need to be replaced twice in the last 10,000 miles? I have a 98 V6 2WD Dakota 42,000 miles. Is any one else having this problem? VRM

I have a similar problem I am at 56K on my 99 Dakota V6 2WD and need my third thermostat.

I have not purchased any junk brand thermostats. These have all been done by the dealership.

Same problem here on my 92. First had to replace water pump, then my radiator had a crack in it. Replaced radiator and it runs fine now :)

only use robert shaw, never had what would be considered early failure.
