Message: Please help.....
I have been having a groan in the front end of my 96' Dak 4x4 Ext Cab. The noise mainly occurs when 1) the weather is drier/warmer 2) when the truck comes to a slow stop it begins to groan 3) when turning the steering wheel when stopped.
So far, I thought it was ball joints but my truck has grease nipples on them, so I am guessing they must have been replaced. My mechanic looked at and lubed the bushings under the frame that connect the sway bar on, to no avail. NOt sure where to go from here, kind pissed that everybody wants $100 just to diagnose. Are there any tell tale signs or known problems besides the ball joints? So you think this could be the suspension or steering? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kristien
