Message: Just wondering if anyone can help. After having all the usual front brake issues on my 2000 4x4 Dak, I had Powerslots and Hawk pads installed. About 10000 miles after doing so both of the front calipers are displaying slight drag. Don't think the brand new rotors are warped as there is no pulsation. Regular driving leaves the two front wheels warm to touch. Anyone else ever experienced this? Thanks for any help.

Message: The wheels warm to touch, you mean the rotors? the front tires have much more friction put on them in turns, braking, etc., they have to absorb some of this energy and it makes the tires warmer than the back, unless of course you're spinning the rear tires.

Message: warm to the tuch is norm. calipers are designed to "drag" just a smidge. This keeps them clean and working right when you need them. now if they are hot and you cant hold them or you can smell burning (like following a truck going down hill. then that is not good. something is hanging up .
