I have a 1998 Dakota Sport v6 3.9l & the gas Needle get's stuck around 1/4 of a tank a lot. Has anybody else had this problem? I would take it to the dealership, but my warrenty's expired

just found out about this little quirk myself.. the onboard trip comp. said the same thing. scary huh? This is bs. i thought there was gas in my V8 until i ran out going up a big ass hill. on 101...damit

I had the same problem on my 1992 sport when I removed the sending unit from the tank I found that the reader card had worn the increments off over the 1/4 mark therefore it would not register, I replaced the reader card and reinstalled my tank the fix cost me about $65.00
