 Subject: steering column/fog lights...

i have a strange moaning/humming coming from my steering column. it is realated to speed, but not rpms. it used to only whine when the wheel was cut to the right a tad, but now does it when its straight or to the right. any ideas? i previously thought it was coming from my right front side, but it rattles sometimes, sounding like coming from within the steering column? also my fog lights wont come on, and im sure its not that both bulbs dont work... ive been told the switch could be bad? any help is greatly appreciated, i am still under warantee, but i need to know what to tell these fools, so that my truck isnt at the dealership for the next year :(
