Subject: front bumper facia IP: Logged
Message: Neighbour borrowed my 2001 Q/C and hit the facia on his retaining wall. Scratched the white paint off the area around and above the fog lights, now exposing the black plastic. Wondering if anyone has ever put that rock chip resistant paint they use on the bottom of door panels on the front facia of a Dakota. It already has some rock chips in it and the heavy rock chip paint would be thick enough to fill in the scrapes. Any opinions. Neighbour is willing to pay for whatever I want.

Message: Have it repaired right, the "rock chip" resistant spray on paint has a texture and would like awful IMO with the white paint since the bumper fascia is a large viewable part of our Daks. On a black or dark colored Dak it looks just fine. Since the neighbor is paying for it, have it fixed not covered up. The plastic bumper forgives alot when it comes to rock chips and is easily touched up unless pushed or rubbed against hard(like yours), it shows very little damage.
