Subject: Side Mirror Replacement? IP: Logged
Message: Any assistance would be appreciated!
I was sitting at a light when a rock came from behind me, hit my drivers window, bounced off and busted my mirror (basic outside adjust, not power). Punk kids on railroad tracks running away from a mound of fresh dropped rock, could not get turned around and back in time to catch them. I was lucky my window was up or it could have hurt me pretty bad. Anyway how do you change the mirror? Does the housing come off from inside or do I just bust it out and the new one is a one time install from the outside? Thanks.

Message: You might be able to buy just the mirror part at a local auto parts store , but if it`s not available then you`ll have to get a complete mirror assembly.
You will have to remove the door panel to get to the 3 bolts that hold the mirror on.There are a couple of screws and a couple of torx head screws that hold it on. Once all those are off push the panel up and it will come right off. Be carefull and don`t pull the panel out towards you because these panels don`t have the old stlye push clips , just a few tabs that slide into slots in the door.
