Subject: Wipers don't park. IP: Logged
Message: MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS DON'T GO TO THE PARK POSITION WHEN I TURN THEM OFF. IN OTHER WORDS, IF THEY ARE AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD AND YOU SHUT THEM OFF, THEY STOP RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE. I THINK IT MIGHT BE THE SWITCH. I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY HEADLIGHTS SHUTTING OFF INTERMITTENTLY AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE SWITCH. SHORTLY AFTER (THE WARRANTY ENDED) THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED, THE WIPER PROBLEM STARTED. ANY IDEAS?

Message: This problem has nothing to do with your switch. The problem is in your wiper motor, I have replaced many for this problem. There is a tab inside the motor to sense where park is and the tab shorts out and does not make contact anymore. Have your wiper motor replaced and your problem will dissapear.

Message: Had this problem on a 1990 Dakota, the control box to the right of the bottom steering column where the connector plugs in was not seated properly. Reseated this and it works.
