Message: Well, I just got my truck back from the dealer and as expected I'm not impressed. The reason I took it is because when I am at WOT or whenever I kick my truck into passing gear and hold the pedal down until the tranny shifts it makes a chirp or slip sound. The dealer had at first called me and said my truck was ready, when I got there the paper work said that there was no problem found. I was a bit pissed and asked for the manager to go for a ride. He did and I showed him exactly what the noise was. I left the truck there once more and after about an hour he calls me back saying the noise or problem would have to worsen before they could diagnose it. What should I do? Try to blow the tranny? The truck only has 8000 miles on it and don't feel like waiting around for it to worsen and leave me stranded. Also I told him that the driver side brakes made a pop or click noise whenever you applied the brakes, I also had to show that to him on the ride because they said no problem was found for that either. His reply was that it was probably just where the pads had worn and that it was normal. Now I was really pissed! This click noise is very loud and can be heard a good ways away! I told him that there is no way that was normal and that it had only done it for a week. He said they will look at it again when the door panel they had to order came in. I really like the truck but am starting to worry about it's reliability. What would you guys do about the tranny? I'm just trying to figure out what to do. Thanks!

Message: The noise is fixed and it wasn't even the tranny! I found a good dealer and they finally figured it out. After the new flash didn't fix it they were really scratching their heads they said. After all the looking they finally figured out that it was the alternater belt slipping at shift due to a bad belt tensioner. The noise is gone! Finally, someone who knows what they are doing. They couldn't believe that the noise wasn't coming from the tranny. They said that was a new one to them also. i hope this info will help others with the same problem.

Message: To me it sounds as if what ever controls the idle on the truck when colds needs to be adjusted, I had a F-150 that use to do the same, its hard on them to run that high when cold, you might want to have that looked at.
