Message: 1989 dodge Dakota SLT-4x4 3.9L-V6 with a new crankshaft
position sensor & dist.cap w/ rotor & tune-up with spark plugs
w/ wires & a another throttle body plate with sensors. But the
problem is the truck run fine every often and it runs damn
good. So just went it get hot . The truck started stalling out and
you can feel a pullback and then while still driving the truck a
bad back fire once or twice and then it will stall out and it takes
awhile to start back up-(let the truck sit for awhile and it run
back good. I was going to put another computer or put another
distributor and next to a shop. THANK,YOU.

Message: in my similar case it was a PCM issue (bad solder
joint on the circuit board in the PCM). but
because my 3.9L is a 1994 with multi-port fuel
injection, my outcome may not apply to your truck.
