Message: Yesterday for the second time, my truck went to
the dealer on a hook. At 12,000 miles, the torque
converter self destructed due to improper assembly
at the factory. I haven't found out what it is
this time, but when I heard a funny clunk and a
splash when I put the truck in reverse to back out
of my driveway, it can't be good. I shut off the
truck and got out and much to my horror, saw a
large puddle of ATF flowing from under my truck
towards the street. I only have 66,000 on the
truck and I have had a defective battery leave me
stranded in the middle of nowhere, had to replace
the waterpump due to bearing failure, and now the
transmission again. Is there no

Message: Has anyone had problems with engine pinging or knocking. I have taken my truck in several times and the dealership said to use super unleaded, but upon reading the manual it said prolonged use of super unleaded could be harmfull to the engine.

Message: I had a problem with pinging at around 70,000
miles and I changed out the cap, rotor, plug
wires,and installed a set of Bosch Platinum 2s. I
also put on a K&N filter with a tuned intake tube.
Cured the problem right away. As a prevent, I run

Message: I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota 4X4 Sport and it keeps dying, a message "no bu5" appears in the digital mileage window. It's like the engine just shuts down. If I wait awhile 5, 10 or 15 minutes it will restart. It has also happened after I got someplace, shut off the truck and then went to start it, it wouldn't start. Anybody know what this is or what the no bu5 code means?
