Message: I have a problem with the airbag indicator light on my '97. It only comes on when the interior is cold. I never have a problem in the summer. I think it is a broken circuit board module under the brake pedal. Does anybody know what that module is for?

Message: I just got my 2001 back from the shop yesterday with this problem, the "Answer" is that there is an electronic mechanism near the device that locks the passenger seatbelts when you stop hard. This electric piece sends a signal to the airbag if the stop is too hard to set it off, makes sense. Here's what I was told - The company that Dodge buys the contacts from for this piece put too thick of a coating on it, and the electric connection does not make it through the low voltage system. The solution is to put some dielectric grease on it and unplug and plug it back in about a dozen times to remove the coating on the contact. That's what I was told, and my light is not on now.
