Message: Hi Patrick,
I had what sounds like the same problem and it turned out to be my battery. Check the voltage, if it's less than 13 volts, replace it.

Message: I had the exact same problem it ended up being my fuel pump. It was shorting out which was causing a fuel delivery problem and also why it seemed to be intermitant. In a sense that it will start and run butthen all of a sudden short out. Look into and let me know what u find out . If you took it in to a shop let me know what their diagnosis is. After i got my fuel pump replaced it ran fine.

Message: I was having the smae problem and it turned out being the fuel pressure regulator. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system and see if it quits for a day or so, if it does then that what it is.

Message: There is a relay box under the hood on the drivers side. These relays do go bad. I've replaced 5 so far. One is fuel and one is auto shut off. Both can affect shutdown.
