The puddle is a common problem. The drain tube of the A/C box is located under the dashboard on the passenger side. The water, getting discharged from your A/C, leaks into the cabin floor where the drain tube goes through the firewall.

The easiest fix is to buy Plumbers Putty from HomeDepot or other hardware store and seal the area between the A/C tube and firewall. Just pack it with a lot of putty, and seal that area really good. Plumber's Putty won't dry out or melt away.

I have the same problem with the puddle on the floor. What the dealer told me is that sometimes a bug will crawl into the condensor drain and die and plug it up and then it will drip over into the floor board. They can blow it out but what happened with mine was that even after they blew itout it still happened because the gasket from the firewall to the drain got to much pressure and broke. So the easiest way to do it is to just by some silicone or somethign and patch it up, or you can pay them $700 to take out the heater core and replace it. Sons of bitches need to learn how to fix a problem. or at least cover it under warranty. bastards

LOL!!!!!!!!! They told you a bug crawled up and died in it!? That was their answer to water on your floor in the front cab. LOL!!! You know what. If a mechanic told me I had water on my floor because of a bug I think I'd punch him in the face on the spot! I go bi-polar when stupid people tell me stupid things like that. Thats like one time at Band Camp I got my truck back from the dealer for a tire rotation and took it to the carwash for it's once a week waxing and found a huge scratch down the side of the rim. After me going right back down there for a huge rag out session the manager went out and took a new rim off of a 04 Dak in the lot and put it on my truck. Okay, well maybe it's nothing like that. But it was still stupid! They should do manditory drug testing of the dealership employees caues buddy had to be messed up to think he was going to get away with that. They boys at work will get a kick out of that "a bug crawled up and died" line. Thank you for making my day! It doesn't take much. LOL..

I'm having a problem with my AC unit. It doesn't come on at low settings just at the high one. It seems to be working fine besides that. Anyone have the same problem before and can you give me some advice on what i need to do to fix it. I ck'ed all my fusees (to include the ones under the hood) and didn't see anything blown.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, LMAO.. i guess my puddle isnt the only one. Well I first thought that it was my drain plug too until, I noticed it was happening all year round even when my a/c or heater are not in use. I only get leakage when it rains for hours upon hours. (not just the usual 1 hours storm, it has to be like an all day rain.) I am thinking maybe the trim or plastic on the outside of the windshield is worn out/cracked/ etc. And when it rains for a long time it builds up then leaks over. I ghetto rigged the passenger side and opened up a plastic trash bad and put it up underneath. I figured if it was leaking from the A/C it would leak onto the bag. Well it rained yesterday and my floor is still wet, underneath the bag. So somehow its still leaking from somewhere not noticable??? Anyone have same problem???? Or could this still be the drain plug/?

CrazieCowGirl, what's that on the lower left part of your grill top? That pinkish thing. It kinda looks like you castrated a man to get it. You ARE crazie!!!

The leak in my truck happens in rain too. Is your passenger side REAR floor wet too? It may be the welds on the panels behind your rear seat. Mine don't leak no more.

I have a '94 Dokota and when I turn on the AC all I get is a noise that clicks on and then off a couple of seconds later. It doesn't get cool either. Do you know what it might be??

That clicking is your compressor cycling.
Sound like you're low on freon.
