Hey I know this is a dodge recall forum, but hey I'm thinking of your safety!
Murray Inc is recalling riding mowers for fuel tanks that can crack. The recall includes 89,500 rear-engine mowers with 30 inch decks sold between Jan '95 & Jan '02, under the names of Murray, Murray Select, Craftsman, and Wizard.
The recall also involves 6,200 mid-engine mowers with 30 inch decks sold under the names of Murray and Yard king, sold between Feb '01 & Jan '02.

Glad I could help. I have a Wheelhorse in the ol' barn. 20hp h2o cooled kawasaki engine with a 60" deck.

Nice! I only have 15 hp Kohler eng. and a 42" deck. The 42" snow thrower is really nice as is the 10 cu foot trailer. Want to race?

Only if we race in my yard,and the blades are engaged! :-) We have to go in circles starting at the edge of my yard and you can never drive over the same spot more than once!

I run an Ariens with a Junkcumseh engine..actually its pretty good. I just got done adding a new muffler chamber and adjusted the govnor to get more RPM plus I took the head off and polished the intake and lapped teh valves.......I figure I'm getting close to 16 horse on a 13 horse motor....
Run MOBIL 1 in the sucker and NGK sparkplug.

Blew up the Junkemseh motor, I am looking to put a kawasaki in its place....I found one that is FI plus water cooled to boot. Sounds killer!

Hey, I want that turbo kit for my 13 Kohler too...
Maybe if I mount a trimmer on each side of my mower, I can mow and trim at the same time....all while drinking my brew-ha.

Finallygot the Kawasaki today. Ihad to "mcgyver" the mounts but it does fit. Man that FI is sweet. Idles like a kitten and the mini rad in front should keep stuff cool this summer. I already redid the PCM and dyno'd it at 15.5 HP right at redline. Plus, taking the muffler off and screwing in a straight length of pipe gave it that throaty rumble,,,,,,,kinda like a big Kawa bike!
After I get it broke in, I will probably shave the head, bore it a tad and see what else I can do to make it burn grass!

Ok,,,,,got the Kawasaki all hooked up. I balanced the crank, bored it .020 over, milled the head .010....installed a TB a little larger than stock..pulled it from a 22HP Kawasaki. I have an NGK iriduim plug in her too. Also, the stock exhaust set up had to go. Instead, I set up a reducing bushing off the threaded port then took it waaaaaay out to a 2 1/2 inch pipe....man does this sound mean!
PUlled the thermostat so to motor runs a tad cooler thus fooling the FI into richening up the mixture a bit.
Dyno results are in kids......from a stock 13HP motor, I am getting 18.64 at 4100 RPM with all these mods. God knows what the tork is......which is why the Junkumseh blew up.....it couldn't take the revs man.
Pop the electric PTO and I have a reducing pully on the crank and boy those blades remind me of a CFM56 turbo fan at 2.6 EPR......woooooohoooooo
ANd yes, it cuts like a mother!

Wow, just wanted to let ya all know I mowed down 1/2 acre of grass, the thick type and it was nearly a foot high and boy did this thing just lay the smack down on that stuff.

Not cutting too much these days....I managed about 1.4 more HP by opening up the throttle body on a lathe....othewise still cranking along. Just too darn dry to cut anything except the cheese.

I have been working on my Lawn Chief riding mower recently. It seems that the deck will go up in the back but it won't go up to the correct height in the front. Can anyone suggest any good ideas of how to fix this problem ?
