Subject: 99 auto run-away shift IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 extended cab v-8 4x4 with an automatic transmission. Just recently at 50000 plus miles when the truck is still cold and usually just the first few 2-3 shifts it has a run-away shift. If you are accelerating moderately to hard it shifts just fine, but at part throttle and especially at very light throttle it has the problem. I hope there might be a TSB that someone might remember. Thanks in advance.

Message: Mine will occassionally miss shift. When I go to pass someone or get on an entrence ramp. It goes to down shift it redlines to about 5500 rpm but never shifts. It almost feels like the clutches won't engage, until I let off the gas.
Is this the same that is happening to you?? It is a good thing I purchased the ext warr, but that means I will be without a ride cause it is still too cold for the R6.
Thanks
