Subject: Auto Tranny Issues 2000 Dak IP: Logged
Message: I have the 4.7L with the Multispeed auto(whatever the heck Multispeed means, feels like a 4-spd auto to me). It slips during 2-3 shift. I experienced issues like that on my Chevy, except it had the 1-2 problem. Anyone else have any issues on the Auto tranny? TSBs? I will have a Transgo shift kit put in if I cannot get it fixed via a Dodge TSB. Just wanted to know how the rest of you guys were doing.

Message: I have a 2001 4.7 and a friend does too. They do not shift very hard just kind of slids in gear. About the multi speed part it has extra 2 gear. When you go to pass with out pushing to the floor you can feel it. When you mash to floor it goes in a lower gear

Message: I am not happy with the sloppy shifting under normal acceleration and drivetrain clunking when letting off the gas at lower speeds(caused from torque convertor I think). At last oil change over a month ago, dealer of course told me this is normal and checked for any TSB's or software upgrades, my truck has the latest. Shifts well during WOT though. I wished they made a Transgo kit for the multispeed tranny, I would get it in a second. Maybe someday...
