Message: THE PROBLEM IS THE RUBBER VENT LINE FROM THE TRANSMISSION BEING CRUSHED BETWEEN THE CAB AND THE CHASSIS . BROUGHT MY 4.7 BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY RE-ROUTED THE VENT LINE...... PROBLEM SOLVED HURRAY.

Message: My tranny fluid was also leaking in my brand new 4x4 4.7 automatic. I dropped it off for a oil change at a local dodge dealer, they said they would need to seal the leak. I called them a couple days later and they were in the process of installing a new tranny. They couldn't just seal the leak. If this prob happened at 37,000 miles, I would be screwed. Just a warning for you guys with 4.7's, get this checked out.

Message: I have same leaking transmission problem, the dealer replaced the transmission at 800 miles the first time, the second time drained down the fluid said "that the new tranmissions fluid expands more than the old one" this was at 1200 miles, I am awaiting to take the truck in again, the body sides and tail end of the truck is drenched in fluid!! so much fluid leaks out that it hits the exhaust and makes a smoke screen behind....dealer claims to have never have had this problem and does not know of any recalls..I am taking the truck in for the 3rd time now..less than 2000 miles...frustration!!!the dealer does not seem to care..
