Subject: Quad & Shelby Recalls IP: Logged
Message: More than 9,000 Dodge Dakota Quad Club Cab pickups and 150 two-wheel-drive Dakotas are being recalled because of frame and seat-belt problems. Seat-belt anchor bolts weren't properly torqued on the 2000 and 2001 Quad Cabs.
Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners.
The frames of 1989-1990 4X2 Dakotas with Shelby performance packages can crack at the steering gear attachment. This can cause steering gear mounting bolts to fracture.
Dealers will reinforce the frame and replace mounting bolts and, if necessary, steering gear weld nuts.
