Message: i drive a ford ranger and my abs light turns on when i drive
faster than 65 mph and then release the brake to slow
down. Does anyone know whats going on? Rear sensor has
been installed but light still turns on. Light is on when I turn
the vehicle on but turns off when I move the vehicle, until I
drive faster than 65 mph.

Message: Regarding my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500, 4WD.
After one year of intermittent faults, I finally solved the Brake Light and ABS light coming on intermittently, as well as Cruise Control dropping out.
Lo and behold, it was the "Brake Light Switch,"
the one behind the knee blocker panel. The contacts were intermittent and caused a fault (Brake Light and ABS light on) to set with this problem, but many code scanners, the cheap ones, won't show this code...But for $112.00, the Dodge dealer will find this code.
BTW, I replaced the RWAL sensor and transmission speed sensor (in case they were intermittent), plus new MC, the old one had a leak at the front of the cylinder.
Happy 4th of July in 2013.

Message: I know this is an old thread but I just went through the exact same thing with my 94 Dakota SLT RWD. I checked rear diff ABS sensor it was good (ohm reading), brake fluid was good, brakes were all good so I was stumped. I had the ABS light and Park brake lights on. Turns out that I had no brake lights when stepping on the brake pedal which was due to a blown fuse for the Stop Lamp. Easy cheap fix. I hope this helps anyone else with this same problem.
