Message: My 2001 Dakota Quad cab, bought new in March, has lost cooling cabability twice now. First trip to dealer they installed a o-ring kit. 6 weeks later its blowing hot again. Have noticed puddles of water? under truck in garage, and sizzling sound where moisture apparently drips on exhaust or manifold. I have noticed a "whining" sound just before cold air stpos blowing each time this has happened that stops when ac is turned off. Dealer says the sizzling/dripping is normal. Any thoughts?

Message: Hogwash on the dealership telling us that annoying dripping is NORMAL!! I have a 2000, bought brand new and it drips! Took it today and my canned answer was.... sorry, there's no TSB. I thought, "well let's jerry rig the thing because that sizzle drives me insane." But, no fix as of yet. Please let me know if you have sense found an answer to the drip. Thanks!

Message: The dripping and sizzling sound is normal on these trucks. Condensation from running the AC is dripping on the exhaust on the passenger side, causing the sizzling sound. Hope they get your refrigerant leak fixed.

Message: it is the shrader valves where they put in the refridgerant and then check the hi and lo sides that leak the most, on ALL vehicles. replaced mine and the problem stopped.
