Message: Has any one heard of a recall or warranty work for broken exhaust header bolts? I have the 3.9 V6 and not long after I bought it, two bolts broke in the head. It ended up costing me $300 bucks to replace. I was told there was a problem with the grade of bolts in the heads, but that I have to pay for the fix.
Thanks.

Message: I have a '98 Dakota with the 3.9L V6. It's sitting in my driveway with 4 broken exhaust manifold studs. This looks to me like a defective fastener problem or over torqued at assembly. The truck has 88K on it and the Dodge service department I talked to didn't give me much hope that Chrysler would cover it.

Message: Hey there J, Flick my dakota had two broken
exhause bolts. I contacted chrysler thru their
web site(www.4adodge.com). To make a long story
short, they repaired my truck at no cost to me
even though my truck was three and a half years
old and had 47000 miles on it. Just talk nice to
them and ask for a goodwill warranty repair.
