Message: I too had whining coming from the rear anti-lock on my R/T... it show up immediately after a well intentioned (un-educated) oil change attendant at jiffy lube "topped-up" my fluid in the differential.
As it turn out you cannot just add gear oil to the rear-end, you must also add a de-foamer to prevent break-down of the fluid. It doesn't make sense to me, but a repair shop changed out my fluid, put in the additive and it was fine for another 40 000 miles, however it's time to do it again... I understand it is a regular maintenance issue just like oil changes and tire rotation.
Does any-one have any towing stories that relate to the R/T with the aluminum drive shaft??? I'm not sure if this is a light weight solution or a high torque solution... (got horses to haul!)

Message: My R\T rear end started making the same noise. All I had to do is change my diff fluid and add the additive. I've never heard another noise.
