Subject: Fuel Filters '97 4 Cylinder

Message:
I've got a '97 2.5 Liter that's running very rough. (See '97 2.5 Liter Cpughing for further details). Ruled out plugs, injectors, and bad gas. It's not getting fuel the way it is supposed to. Could this be fuel filters or screens? Where are they located on the '97? Is there more than 1 filter? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Yes it could if the filter has not been changed. It has a filter which is located under the fuel pump with in the tank. If your not up to the work I would let the dealer do it. Im not awear of any other filters on the truck. I cant tell you how hard it will be to change the filter becouse Im going to change mine in the next few weeks. I have been told that you haft to drop the tank or remmove the bed to get to the filer.
