I'm not really happy with the setup I have now. I have a 2 10" speaker box on the back driver's side seat with 2 Audiobahn subs. I also have an Audiobahn amp mounted on top of the box that rattles when the subs hit hard and it will not fit under the seat. I am also using a capacitor that I do not know where to store. I need some advice on how to arrange my setup where it will not only sound better, but look better. The only thing is that I do not have much money to spend because I am saving up for a 3" lift and some 33" Xterrains.

Any suggestions?
Here is a picture of my setup now.

first off is the box sealed or ported. second u shouldnt put the amp on the box due to vibration. it will shorten the life of ur amp. so u should make an amp rack for ur amp and cap

I have 1 12, w3. and it sists in the back beind the driver. I moved the 60 bench in the back over to where the 40 is suposed to be and Costom screwed it in and jerry riged it. And the Box on topp of the blake box, painted black, to match. So it all flows. The Amp is on top of it and it screwed in with ruber peices inbetween it ant the custom box, so they take all the vibration. and then below the box there is a little carpet to keep from the plastec ratling. And my capasitor fit in side the back plastic panel just hiddin. Sorry for length, hope it helps

My box is sealed. Should I maybe put my subs in seperate boxes, one on each side, and then mount the amp in the middle? At first, I didn't want to lose all of the backseat, but I guess I don't have much of a choice with the setup I have. I really can't afford to buy new stuff, since I am saving up for lift and tires, but I could probably have two boxes built.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to build a good looking rack in the center to hold my amp and cap?

No, I am planning on keeping the Audiobahns because I have been very happy with them. And like I said, I can't afford new subs right now. Thanks for the suggestion though, I guess I'll just put them in seperate boxes on each side and mount the amp and cap in the middle. Now I just need to find the right size boxes to fit with enough room in the middle for an amp and capacitor rack.

Well I don't really see anything wrong with your current setup. It's not real custom looking but if it sounds good other than the amp rattling I would find out exactly what it is that is rattling and fix it. If you are set on something more custom looking you might consider building the box yourself. An easy way would be get a pair of truck boxes (seperate) carpet a board the lenght of these two boxes plus enough room for you amp to fit between them. Then just screw through the back of the board into the boxes and bam a good looking box. Also I would lose the cap, they are worthless. Now if you really want custom and want to keep your back seat why not build a box that is the back seat?

Thanks BIGTYMER, that sounds like a pretty good idea. I think I will do that and just carpet a board, maybe slightly angled upward in which to mount my amp. I diagree with you however on the capacitor. Before I added the capacitor, my headlights and interior lights would flicker when the subs hit hard. After I added the cap, I haven't had any flickering problems, and on the really hard hits, the subs noticeably hit much harder. I have had other people tell me that their capacitor didn't make a difference to them and others that said it made a huge difference. I guess it just depends on the setup you have.

Paul thats a sweet setup, you'd be disgusted by mine. I am planning on building a new set up that will go on the 60 side of the back, but the seat will have to go also.

Thanks Jeff. I think you just helped me solve a dilema I have been having. I have been trying to decide on whether I should get the BFG AT's or the ProComp Xterrain tires after I install my lift. After looking at your truck pics, I must say those Xterrain's look damn good. I love the way yours looks with the black rims too.

Thanks man, I still look at them and say the same thing! I love the way it looks. Still, not a very loud tire on the road, but a very aggressive tire offroad.
