Subject: JBL Speakers...?
IP: Logged

Message:
I really wish I could find some more info on JBL speakers, since most of my musician friends swear by them when it comes to performances. So, I figured that they must be good in the car as well. The two models I'm thinking of are either the GTO625 or the higher end P632. (both are 2-way and 6 1/2) My main problem is that all the audio stores around me only have the more well known brand speakers (Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer, etc.) for display. If anyone owns either of these speakers or has even just heard them, I would really appreciate your input. I plan on getting an Infinity Basslink further down the road but, at this point, I can't really afford one, so some good bass in the speakers is pretty important to me. Thx for you help guys!!

In the PRO audio world JBL is second to none. I've heard that thier consumer level stuff isn't as good. Dosn't mean that its bad but there may be some better choices.

I will just say one thing. You said "since most of my musician friends swear by them when it comes to performances" isnt always true. I, personally, hate JBL for home theater sutff but they have some okay stuff for car audio. I dont really use their products, but its up to what you want to buy and the kind of money you have. For speakers, I really like JL's, Infinity. Pioneer also makes some pretty good speakers. - _KrEzEr_
