Has anyone had problems with the JL amps? I had a 300/2 powering two JL 6.5 inch coaxials (VR650 CXi) and after only two weeks something burned inside the amp. The fuse never even blew. I also have a 250/1 powering my stealthbox. Until it burned I had nothing but good to say about all there products. I still feel this is top of the line equipment and I'm sure JL will repair it. It's only about 3 weeks old so it's warranteed. Just wanted any comments on JL?

I had a 300/4 no problems, upgraded to a 500/5 and again no problems. Plus I have used their subs (12w3) and have there 3-way components up front. Love JL Audio.

R/Truck where did you mount the 500/5 JL amp? I have a 250/1 under one seat and a 300/2 under the other and it sticks out a little with the seat forward.

Well my setup is a little bit wilder then most trucks. My tool tray is gone, so I mounted the amp, cd changer, crossovers, and capacitor under the back seats. Also I have a custom fiberglass enclosure holding 1 10" sub under the small back seat. It looks stock with the seats down, but crazy cramped under them. (=
The 500/5 is a monster, you probably will not be able to mount it anywhere with out it taking up a big junk of real estate.

Just for info, I recieved my 300/2 today from JL Audio, They sent me a new amp. The system is now complete again and sounds great. My system now includes there XR650 csi and I moved the VR650 cxi to the rear with the tweeters mounted in the A posts. JL stands behind there products!
