Message: If I could do it again,I'd go with componants. I spent a boat load on MB Quartz, that sound good in the back, but suck in the front!!Hell I spent over $300.00 for each set!! NOT the speakers fault, just poor location. If I could,I'd remove the tweeter and relocate it.

Message: Bluethunder- I would look into DEI Neodymium 3065. You can buy them on sounddomain.com for $229. I almost consider these to be high end comps. I know you don't want to spend over $200 but the 30 bucks will be money well spent. These speaks will walk all over Infinity & Kenwood in my opinion. If your still set on these 2 go with Infinity.
Kenneth- What in Gods name are you talking about?
Sound good in back but suck in front? Poor location? Quarts are one of the best speakers made & are designed to be installed off axis in factory locations. Yes, that includes coaxils. I have my comps in the factory location with the tweets installed over the mid just like a coax. Please elaborate on your system so someone can help you out instead of passing on misleading information.

Message: I think what he is saying is that the rear speakers are actually closer to you ears then the front ones. Making the rear speakers sound more clear and loud then the front ones.
The door speakers would sound great if you had ears around you knee caps.
Poor speaker placement can make a good system sound bad. Get your tweeters aimed up towards your face without anything in its path.

Message: If I get replacement Kappas for my truck what do you do with the crossover. I have the stock amp does that work as the crossover so I can just plug and listen??

Message: No, you need to hookup the crossover. If you filter out the lows at the amp, the mids wont work correctly. The supplies x over filters out the lows to the tweeter
