 Subject: New headunit

Hey, I just got a 1.5 din headunit form pioneer. I went to install using a wiring harness adapter, but saw that it didn't make sense, then I realized I have the infinity system. So My question is this, should I use the stock amp, and if so, what color wire does the blue remote out of the new head unit hook up to, i have the speakers wired, but I don't know which one is the remote wire. If I should bypass the stock amp, where is its location and what is the easiest way to bypass it. Thanks

You sure that Pioneer fits? I thought I heard a few people say that particular one doesn't.

Yeah I just went out and finished the install, I am running with the stock amp as well as an older punch 100 pushing an 8 inch mtx road series in a custom box under the seat. The system sounds great, can wait to get my BA speakers in the corners. The headunit fits pretty well, however, it needs to be pushed out aboput half an inch, which is imposible right now with the stock mounts, once I make the correct mount, it will fit as well as any other head unit
