Message: Inside the door panels is OK if you seal them up (inside Zip-Lok bags plus Duct tape) inside the plastic weather guard. The speakers survive in there so the crossover can too if your careful.

Message: I had the same question.....I am putting in the same Kappas, and was wondering about that. My question is what are kick pannels. I think I know what they are but if someone could tell me what they are and how it would work for tweeters in a truck, that would help.....Thanks _KrEzEr_

Message: Under the dash on either side of the truck. Look at you parking brake pedel its to the left. You NEVER want to put them in the doors. They would have to sit on the very bottom of the door to clear the window mech. and thats where the water goes. Plus what do you attach your duct tape and zip lock bag to? I wouldnt want it bouncing around in there. As far as the tweeters here's a pic of mine http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=220019&page=2
There's not much too it but it sounds pretty good.

Message: I had my perfect's crossovers installed in the doors with no probs but i took them out a month ago. I put them all the way back on my sub box (under rear seat). Tweeters are placed where JIM's are.

Message: Sure put them in the pockets it won't look too nice but it works. The concern with them in the doors is water and them bouncing around and getting caught up in the window mech. Put them under the dash or kick pannels. My pass side is in the kick pannel. The drivers side is under the dash. The drivers side kick pannel is close to the fuse box and I was picking up hum.

Message: Put them in-between the interior door panel and the door. Use a small sheetmetal screw to secure them to the metal. I have a 2001 Quad and this works great for both the front and back. I also wrapped mine in a thin sheet of foam. This way, the x-overs are sandwiched between the panel and the door. It is very secure, no rattles.

Message: I put one set of crossovers inside the doors. I just put them through the speaker hole and put them up high near where the tweeter is. Then I drilled holes through the inner door sheetmetal and ran short screws through the door panel into the edges of the crossover which pulled it against the door skin. Window clears, theres no water up there and no rattles.

Message: I have always found room under the dash in any vehicle that I installed componet systems. Zip ties work awesome for under dash installs. When I finish my front end work(replacing knuckle hub assembly etc) I plan on buying a componet set, and mount the tweeters in the door at mirror level.
