Message: You guys should seriously check out the MTX 9500 series subs. MTX even has a direct comparison between them and the W7. I can get you a ten for 350, a twelve for 450, and a 15 for 550. They retail for 500, 600, and 700 respectively (that is straight from the MTX site). http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/thunder9500.cfm is the site for the 9500 series and http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/headtohead/w7.cfm is the site for the direct comparison for the two. If you like the sub and the price, let me know, because i can get you that plus amps for a lot cheaper than retail.

Message: In regards to the earlier post of the two 12inch w6v2's vs 1 12 inch w7 the 2 w6v2s are louder and I've tried them out before. Was at the store and tried one then swapped the others in. W7 is stilla beast but thats my 2 cents. the w6v2s are incredibly clean and loud, ive gotten many comments on both aspects.

Message: yea the mtx 9500 are good comparable to a w7 and pretty close w7 still has a little better sq but for the price you have u can get an re xxx which will blow away the mtx. and it is 360 direct from re for a 10. as for the above post if the subs work then 250 is an amazing deal

Message: I have an MTX 7500 there is no comparison to the JL W3v2 which is rated at 100 watts less. The W3 is at least twice as loud. The 7500 can't handle deep bass notes half as good. Based on what I heard the 9500 is just loud and that is all. The W7 is the way to go! Pay no attention to the MTX fans they are tone DEAF!!!

Message: Sorry, for two reasons, I've got a ram 1500.. and a W7-13. I saw this website a long time ago when i was browsing around, but never paid attention to it, because I didn't have a truck, nor a system. I'm not even sure if anyone comes here since the last log was in 05 I believe. SO... if anyone see's this, or might have any idea to my question... lemme know.
The answer is (i love jeopardy)
Does anyone have any idea from personal experience, or rocket science.. know the best set up for the sub mentioned above, in the back of a 2002 ram 1500 quad cab, ran by the 1000/1 jl slash series amp?

Message: Ooops, I guess I should have specified what I would like from the "best set up" is, the best sound quality at just below extreme volume, set up with the highest rated db. Kind of a mix of the both? I don't go around pounding nearly as hard as I can, but there are times when I feel like doing so.. and I do. But it would be nice to know of a more accurate set up, if that makes sense, thanks.
