Subject: Pulling dash apart to get stock deck out IP: Logged
Message: I'm trying to get the stock deck outta my 97 Reg cab. Does anyone know how the dash panelling is connected. The bottom half under the steering column has three screws on the bottom but is connected somehow (plastic clips I imagine) to the top half (around the speedo). I don't want to break any of these clips so if anyone has done this let me know how to go about it. Thanks.

Message: i have a 99 so mine doesnt have the screws in the bottom, just the clips, but when i pulled mine off they all came out without too much trouble, just start pulling at one corner and work around.

Message: Just pull realy hard on your black panel. It's held in by metal clips and it just pulls off. I have an automatic & had to put my truck in 1st to completly remove it.
