I'm looking into getting a Clarion DXZ725 for my 01 4.7 cc. What mounting kit do I need, and will I need special adapters or wiring kits for it? Where can I purchase these? Thanks alot!

You'll need a dash kit and a wiring harness. Just go to Best Buy or Circuit City or any electronics or stereo store and tell them your truck's model and they should be able to give you what you need. Now I don't konw about an '01, but I found out the hard way that an '02 has a new style connector on the factory head so it needed a newer wiring harness. I told the guy at Circuit City I had an '02 Dak and he gave me a harness, when I got home and took the head out, the thing didn't work. I had to go all the way back and get the newer one.

just insalled a new alpine deck from crutchfield.
they included all the adapters and harnesses for
free and i think shipping is free right now too.

OH YEA....I almost forgot.
Again I'm not sure about an '01, but for an '02 you will also need an antenna adaptor. The jack is smaller than the old ones.
