Message: I just bought a 2001 Dakota Quad Cab Sport w/ a 4.7L V8 auto 4x4 (my first Dodge, I owned three GM products prior to this). It has the standard cassette deck (no CD control).
Anyway, I have a question about the antenna lead. I am planning to hook up my portable MP3 player through the FM w/ a FM modulator that plugs into the antenna line. Do I need to remove the dash to get to the antenna lead and if so, what does it take to remove it? I do have a 12 disc JVC changer w/ head unit, but nowhere to put the changer part. I had the MP3 player and I thought it would be a better option.

Message: Can't you just plug it in between the head unit and the antenna? Right behind the head unit.

Message: yeah, that's they idea but what does it take to get behind the head unit. I'm trying to do the same thing here. The dash looks like it is all clips except around the instrument panel.
Anyone had their dash apart yet? How easy or hard is it?
