you have to remove the front seats first i believe. im planning on doing the same thing soon w/ either 1 10 or 2 8s, havent decided yet. let me know how it goes when your done

There are four bolts that hold the console to the seat frame. They are in each of the four corners of the console. I did not have to remove the seats to get the console out. The bolts thread from the underside, so you can get a wrench around them and unscrew them. If you want, loosen the seat bolts to lift the whole seat assembly up, but you don't have to physically remove the seats to get the console out.

You will be hard pressed to fit a 10" speaker in the space that the console provides unless you angle it somehow. Good luck
