Im interested in getting a Q-Logic Q-Custom box for my 01 CC. I'm thinking of putting in either a JL 8" or Kicker S8L7 solobaric. Can I trim the opening to the box to accomodate a square sub? Also, I'm new to subs so let me know whether to get 2 ohm or 4 ohm. Thanks.

I wouldn't try to trim that Q-form it will look like crap unless you re-cover it. Just stick with a good round sub like the JL Audio. If your stuck on the square subs then have a custom box built.

You amp must be able to handle a 2 ohm mono load, make sure it can otherwise stick with the 4 ohm subs.

Thanks R/Truck. I think I will go with the JL Audio 8" sub. Which one should I go with for the loudest, cleanest sound. The 8w6, 8w3, etc? Also, will a 2"(H)x12.75(D)x9.25(W)amp fit underneath either of the front seats? Thanks for your help!

I have a 01 CC too, and had a hard time finding any amp to fit under the seats. The height is what gets you into trouble. There is a metal rod that gets in the way and could scratch up your amp.

8W6 is the best (hard to find and expensive)
8W3 will pound but more for bass then music
You may consider the 8w0 or 8w1, cheap and will sound good with just about any amp.
