Fellow Installers,
I was wondering if anyone of you have noticed the lack of midrange/midbass from the rear speakers. A while back I removed the bag of fill in the rear when I first installed the dynamat in my truck. I was wondering if this is the case with everyones vehicle, or does the bag of polyfill do that much? My next step was to try and seal it off all together. Let me know what you think.

The foam you removed is somewhat for noise suppresion and to keep moisture from your speakers. Just a tip.

your rear speakers should not be making a lot of noise, for propper soundstage you want the front speakers doing most/all of the work. add subs to the back if you want more low-end. hope this helps. ~R

But producing a truly good soundstage in ANY vehicle is near impossible. It's a bad enviro. for audio, much less good stereo. Good sound staging might also incorporate centre channel speakers, perhaps in the center vents on the dash.
Just a thought. Don't freak out.

factory speakers/speaker locations are what you call infinite baffle, if you want the most performance from your midrange speakers, build a baffle around them for a sealed box effect. dynamat is always a good idea, kudos
