I have 2002 QC, whats the largest amp I can fit underneath the front passenger seat with out having it stick out to much? Currently I have a very small 2-channel pioner amp pushing my front RF components, what I would like to do is swap it out for a small yet relatively powerful 3 or 5 channel amp. I took some measurements and it looks as if underneath the seat is only about 10 inches wide max, the length gives you a lot more to work with but still I don't really want the amp to stick out much. To make a long story short does anyone have a relatively powerful 3 or 5 channel amp underneath their front passenger seat that doesn't stick out and still allows the seat to move forward and back?
P.S. I want an amp that can power my components and an 8 inch sub

I have a crossfire 50x4 under pass seat.2 channels power my JL component set the other 2 are bridged to power a soundstream 10. Does all I need it to do, has high and low pass crossovers built in. Its a decent lowcost amp.

I would like to tell you what I have and the goal I had was that it could not be seen or very little seen. Under my drivers seat, I have a clarion 400.4 Amp and you can only see about 1/2 inch of it if you can see from the backside of my seat. This drives my two front speakers and my 8"sub. The reason that it is under my seat is that I don't move my seat that often and it is less likely to get bumped or anything.. I then have a 200X2 under the passenger seat and it is completely hidden and it drives my rear speakers. Can't remember brand off-hand at the moment.
My goal was to make it look like all I had was a aftermarket deck and that is what it looks like.

I have a MTX Thunder 4250D amp mounted under the passenger seat powering my Thunderform Box, and an Eclipse 4ch under the driver seat in mine. Neither stick out all that much. I have also had a PPI 4200 and PPI PCX440 mounted under the drivers seat with no problems.

I put a Sony 5-channel under the passenger seat of my '01 QC. You can see it a little from the rear seat if the front seat is all the way forward.

Put an MTX 6304 (for my high end) and an old "soon to be replaced" Urban Audio Works amp ( for my sub) back behind rear seats. Can still fold up 60 side of bench. Much better than under seats. Still enough air circulation, and no one can see a thing. No one will take the time to take out your back seat to steal your amp. Makes me feel better!

vince...let me get this straight, you have one amp underneath front passenger seat and an amp behind the 60 side rear passenger seat? I would be stoked if I could fit an amp behind the 60%rear passenger seat and still be able to access the jack.

I didn't want to go and pull the seat out to check, but from looking at www.crutchfield.com , I'm pretty sure my amp is model: XM-5150GSX.
