I need to get an amp but I'm trying not to spend a fortune. I'm trying to stay under $200 for an amp of 300 watts. I checked crutchfield and ended up with Jensen, Pioneer, or Kenwood. Do any of these have a good reputation or does anyone have one they would recommend for a factory 8 speaker infinity setup with a (future) kicker solo-baric? Thanks.

go to etronics.com or sounddomain.com they are MUCH cheaper than crutchfield
do you want a 2 channel amp to drive only the sub, a 4 channel to drive the fronts and the sub, or a 5 channel amp to drive front, rear, and sub?

Also look at MMXpress.com, I agree crutchfield is the most expensive, sometimes more then local shops prices. Also ebay is a good source for new stuff with excellent prices. I bought my whole system on ebay:

you can't really go wrong with the rockford amps, i have had my punch 360a for years and it still works great. i also have friends who compete using all rockford fosgate systems.

Hey dude, I would go with a pheonix gold amp or a rockford fosgate amp.. Both of these will kick a$$. The pheonix with be the best bank for the buck and they offer an excellent warranty program.

JVC Deck, 2 10" JBL subs in a ban pass box powered by a 360 watt sony amp. 2 alpine 300 watt speakers powered by a 4 x 45 watt phoenix gold amp. Sounds Great..

4 channels @ 55 watts/ch, 220 mono bridged, 2ohm stable, built in crossover, rock soild competion grade stuff... I've been using them for YEARS! Easily the best value on the market, can't blow em trust me I've tried :D
RF or PG are good too, can't knock them.
BTW - they Kicker solo-barics NEED power to sound good, get the most you can afford and you will not be sorry.

Just to let you know, the infinity system is already amped and if it is the same as the durango it already has a sub in it. So if you were to amp the speakers you would have to make sure to run wires to the crossover for the components. Im not sure if the crossover is seperat or part of the factory amp.... You could go down to a dodge dealership and find out. But you have to be careful with that setup. You can easily blow an amp or speakers. Find out how its setup before you do nething.

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT extended cab and I also have the MTX box that goes underneath the rear jump seat. I need to know what are the best subs to put in there and where to put 2 rockford amps, will theyfit under the seats?
