Subject: Help adding Subs to infinity system.
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the factory Infinity stereo option. I have an amp (4x75 bridgeable to 2 x150) and a pair of 8"subs. I have plans completed for the sub enclosure.

What is the best way to hook up this system?

The amp will take speaker level inputs. I could piggyback off the front or rear speaker level outs and run the amp that way.

However would it be better to tap into the speaker level outs and convert to line level?

Is it possible, without using another amp, to take the speaker outs process them to seperate the lows from the highs, send the lows to the subs, and send the mid/highs to the factory system? Since the door speakers are relatively small, once I have subs it would be nice to cut the lows off them.

Does the infinity system have remote amps?
