Subject: More quad cab talk... IP: Logged
Message: The hooks on the back wall of the cab... How would one go about bringing those out a bit? Not more than an inch, let's say, but still be strong enough to hold the seat firmly. I found speakerboxes that hold one 10"s sub each that fit BARELY behind the seats, but I was just thinking it would be a whole lot easier to put the seat back in if those hooks were sticking out jsut a bit further, but still be strong. Oh, and it would REALLY be cool if those DAMN airvents weren't there... but that is another question.S~

Message: I haven't looked at mine to see exactly what you are describing, but you could try a few things.
1. Stack some washers to desired depth.
2. Instead of washers, use a nut or two.
3. Some hardware stores have a sleeve you can put over all or part of the bolt.

Message: Longer bolts with some nuts as spacers would do the job. As for the air vents... tell me about it :(
