Message: what are you going to do with an 8 AND 10" sub? mixing sizes or brands of subs does NOT make it sound better/louder/cleaner/or provide a better range.

Message: It can be done, and it will sound awesome. You'll need to crossover the speakers at different freq. but it can be done. Use active x-over (coils and capacitors) Get the right values to run the 10 at say 150-250Hz and below and the 8 at 1000Hz to 250Hz. THe box will need to have separate compartments for each speaker, not too hard to do. I suggest using plans for a twin 10" set-up and just adding a sealed divider between the two speakers, giving more area to the 10". Ensure that you make the box to fit according to the Qts specs of the drivers.
In the end you'll have a more musical sounding system that will have you buddies asking why it sounds better than their two 10"s or 12"s.
Do it, you'll be glad you did.
