head unit, subs, components, anything? what do you have in it total and what would it cost someone else to duplicate??? i always would figure it out what the stuff would cost new at any dealer and see where I was at money wise.
guess i'll go first
wiring-stinger 4ga. paid 40 for all of it, including 10ga. speaker wires for subs-$40
amp- Jbl 600.1 new, paid 200 shipped to my house-$200
subs- 2 new jl audio 15w3's- $200 for both :-0
boxes- 2 1.75ft^3 new sealed carpeted boxes- $90 for both
total invested =$530 , but i got a line driver w/ the subs that was in the box, sold it for 40 so i have 490 total into my system and it would prob cost someone else around 1200 to duplicate w/ all new stuff at a dealer, cuz everyone knows there are idiots out there that buy everything at dealers at list prices... oh well, i was bored, whatcha got tied up guys.

With all of my equipment and materials I probably have $3,500 invested. It would cost someone else at a shop well over $5000 for the same work and equipment. I have an Alpine head unit, Alpine changer, PPI amps, 3-12's, Focal Mids/highs, Stinger wiring, upgraded alternator, custom door panels and fiberglass box, tweets molded into the A-pillars...etc

kenwood 3003 12 - $54 new, on sale
jensen 300 watter (yeah yeah, shut up) - $85 dollars new, clearance
$20 for wiring kit
$11 for mounting kit
$8 for wiring adapter for head unit to factory speaks
soon to spend about $250 upgrading component speaks. i'm paying a shop to install it b/c i don't want the headache of those rear panels. i did the installation of everything else myself. i only make 7 bucks an hour and only get about 22 hours a week at that and i'm about to go to college so cheap is important to me. that's why i don't have the best stuff but it works and sounds good, not great, but good.

I have about $8500 into my stereo in my Mustang 5.0 but that is with the $1000 alarm with pager.
I run 4 Kicker Solo 12s, 2 Wizard caps, all DDDrive Alipine speakers, 3 huge Rockford Amps with crossovers, RF preamp, Pheonix Gold alternator, 2 Optimas, Alpine deck, and the sub box is a custom bottomless box fiberglass to the floor. It pounds.......
