Subject: sub enclosure 93 Dak IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 Dakota. No matter where I look I only find custom enclosures for 97 and above. Anyone have any ideas, or found a box that fits well in that generation (89-96??) of Daks.
Also, any amps small enuff (but still powerful) to fit completely under seat (anywhere out of sight!!!).
Please help

Message: is it extended cab. because if it is you won't find a custom enclosure you are going to have to make it yourself or have someone else make it for you. as far as the amps go all i can say is you will have to look around. i have a little whimpy 100 watt and it fits under the front seat fine and in the tool tray under the back seat.

Message: I have a '00 Dakota Extended Cab and I have a 400Watt amp under the drivers seat and a 200 Watt under the passenger seat. I had one of the local Audio Shops create a custom enclosure for an 8" sub that fits in the panel just behind me. The sound is great and the guy who did the work for me has found a way to fit 10" subs in his dakota.
I think that you are going to have to look at getting one made rather than look for a premade one for your dakota.

Message: I had an RF Punch 900 watt amp and it fit under the driver's seat easily. As for the box, I have built one for a 1992 dakota that fits under the rear bench seat and keeps if functional. It holds two tens with 1 cubic foot of air space each. The subs are recessed so that passengers can sit on the seat and not ruin the speakers. I am selling it because i bought a knew truck and no longer need it. Let me know if you are interested.
