Message: I've also got a set of idq10's in my thunderform. I've owned 3 different sets of idq's and have been more than pleased with the performance. IMO--IDQ's outperform many other subs in sound quality and SPL. They are known for tight--accurate bass.

Message: I have a 96 dak standard cab and have 2 "dimes". I am running Kenwood db series pushing about 375w to each but it's not how much power you are pushing to them it's the quality of the sub that you are looking for. You can take a good quality sup push it with 100w and it will sound good. If you wand some more details email me.

Message: JL Audio 10w3s I have 2 running 500 watts or less and I can't keep my rear window (and everything else for that matter) from rattling. they can be hidden and in my own experience and most others I have talked JLs are some of the best out there. Click Link and go to page three. that is how I installed them in my CC

Message: I have 2 Image Dynamics IDQv.2's and they sound great. They are a good mix of SQ and SPL. I've also had the w3's in my old car and was very pleased with those as well. I'm feeding the IDQ's with about 275watts each.

You can get your rear window to stop rattiling by taling a wire tie cutting of the big square end and sliding the strip of plastic between the track the window sets in and the frame of the window, do this to both the top and bottom. It will make the window harder to open and close though. I did this to mine and it cut the rattle by %75-80 when I realy wanted to bass. Just crusin arround the windo no rattle. If you need more info email me

Message: Okay, big question:
I have a Thunderform with the MTX speakers that came with the unit. I like them and they hit pretty good, but tend to get a little sloppy in frequency changes. The IDQ subs seems nice, but how much modification is required to mount them in the Thunderform? Are they a direct drop-in speaker that is about the same size as the MTX's? How much do they cost on average? And who wants two infinity perfect 10's so I can afford them (heehee)?

Message: PopGenie, last years IDQ's were a direct fit but since they changed them (IDQv.2) They are actuall about 1/8' too deep for the thunderform. I found this out the hard way. What I did to compensate for this is doubled up on the foam mounting rings. One set came with the thunderform, one set came with the subs. Another avenue you could go, is since it's only 1/8" you can get away with making some spacers out of 1/4" luan (SP?). And to answer your other question I got mine from www.sounddomain.com they seemed to have a fair price on them.
