Message: Man, this forum is tough for responses... i wish dakota owners had a forum like ls1.com with many members and contributors. Guess i'll have to get used to this less frequented board. :(

Message: I do too but at least it's bullet proof. :)
It does seem like a good solution for reg cab drivers but i don't want to be the guinni pig; depends how desperate i am in getting subs to fit in my truck. :)

Message: I don't know about this one. Who wants a sub right behind your head? And it looks like garbage. If you look hard there is 1 pic of how it looks from the back and there's a reason it hangs out a good 5 inches.

Message: LOL.
The speakers in the window of that S-10 look like the same ones that come with the Thunderforms... very unique cone design on those woofers.
Personally? If I was a cop I would pull that guy over and start giving warnings/tickets for obstructed visibility. (At least here in GA they can do that)

Message: To answer the questions about the speakerwindow.com product.
1.The window is 6.5" in depth to house the 10" subs. The sound quality is excellent in the window where their is no obstructions perfect placement for subs. This is the reason why the window has won several sound off competions in the expert divisions for spls and sound Quality the truck owners have won 6' trophies.
2.This product is patented and has its own DOT number from the feds. This window exceeds all standards set by all federal and state levels.
The back of the trucks fall into the same class as semi-rigs panel vans etc.. The back of a truck is used for moveing and hauling items therfore there is no state or federal levels concering the back window in trucks Think about camper shells etc..
3.Theft issues the product is made out of polycarbonate this product stops .38s a sledge hammer etc.. you will not break into the window.
Oh yea, do you have an alarm?
What about all the vehicles you see with car audio product stickers plastered all over their vehicles and what about when you hear your windows shakeing from a vehicle that has the bass cranked.?
4. I have had the window installed in my vehicle for 10yrs and its still there no problems. Oh by the way it does have keyed screws for the paranoid.
5. I consantly hear one word every single day that word is COOL!
Just think at your next get together party etc..if you had this window in your truck at night and you flip on the neons. You will see and hear what I hear every single day try it!
Thank you,
The owner
