 Subject: difference in dash between 01' & 02' ?

I have seen some posts saying that the 1.5 din GM/Chrysler fit cd decks don't fit in the 2002 daks but they fit in the 2001's. Is this true? If so, what's the difference in the dins between 01 and 02? By the way I have an 02' quadcab and wanted to purchase the 1.5 din alpine cda-d857, would it not fit?

It will fit, the Alpine actually fits behind the trim and it is a standard setup. I have that Alpine and love it.

I used an older (98-Intrepid) install kit to fit my DIN Clarion in my '02 QC and it worked fine so I'd say your OK. One thing to check is the wire harness... it seem some use a 2 piece unit and others use a single connector. Mine had the single connector and built in May (custom order)
