Hey you all. My sister owns a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport. It's a nice little truck. I put a new Pioneer deck in it and it sounds pretty good. It's a single cab truck and I wanted to replace the speakers, what size are they?

6 1/2s in the front. The rear in a reg cab are 5 1/4s. The front door speakers are oversized. Some 6 1/2s may not fit in the factory location without drilling holes or making a custom bracket. If you go with Pioneer or Infinity speakers they come with plastic adapters that mount up to the factory holes. Hope this helps.

6.5" all around.rc,cc and i think qc also.
but you can fit 6by9 also u just need to cut some metal off.

Just curious, but how come the summer 2002 issue of crutchfield lists the speaker size as 6.75. I always thought they were 6.5". I've got a chance to buy pratically brand new 6.5" Polk speakers and wanted to make sure they'd fit in the door.

6.5 oversize would most likely be 6.75 That's why moo Crotchfield lists the size as 6.75

The size is 6.75. I just put a set of polk comps in the doors of my dak. I had to make some trim rings out of masonite in order to mount them.
