Subject: Electrical Problems w/ Pioneer head IP: Logged
Message: I was installing a Pioneer head unit on my 1993 Dakota Sport and using a Scoshe wiring harness. I forgot to disconnect the negative battery terminal when installing it. i installed everything and tested it out, but to my dismay i found that not only did my head unit not work but that i had also lost my dome light and the ignition light as well. I was wondering if anybody had run into this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Message: I forgot to mention that i even hooked the factory stereo back up with the original wiring harness and got no response on the factory radio as well.

Message: I have checked all the fuses in the cab and still no luck. I still haven't checked the fuse in slot F2 in my Power Distrobution Center located in the engine compartment, the manual says that it only controls the Interior lights.

Message: Wouldn't that control your dome light then, which mysteriously just went out? Something to think about... :)

Message: It seemed to me that a 5 amp fuse would be to small to have the Interior Lights and the radio on it but it must be a link in a bigger chain. Thanks anyway!
